Letter From The Head of Development
Over 5 years ago my father provided
me with the opportunity to operate our business from his
leasing office, located in Worthington, a community just
north of Columbus, Ohio. One could say it was a classic
beginning, with a father helping his son excel in the
field where he was the best - consumer consulting. Little
did we know that half a decade later, the situation would
take a turn that would lead to a new business focused
on educating the small business owner. We offered our
expertise in the areas of consumer debt, debt settlement
and restructuring, and financial and retirement planning.
This was the foundation upon which we built our current
structure of professional services for small business.
In the process of acquiring an office
with the assistance of my father, it became evident that
he, as a small business owner, was conducting business
in a manner that did not qualify him for business financing.
Operating as a sole proprietor did not automatically command
an awareness of the power of Dun & Bradstreet's Paydex
Score, nor did it direct him to the importance of a tax
ID number. When the day came that he needed financing,
he came up against a serious challenge that I was able
walk him through. Something clicked - there must be millions
of other small business owners that needed the same help!
In that moment our first phase was launched with a company
designed to help small business owners become positioned
for business loans. The next logical innovation was our
recent merger with Initial Underwriting Group. We are
now authorized to use established lending programs and
lending affiliations to offer financing for the business
owner.
The impact of a father's mentoring to
his son is clearly evident in our commitment to support
each of our clients as family, always taking the time
needed to achieve the financing that will take a small
business owner to a new level of success.
